Banyaknya yang nak kena tanam semula.! Majoritinyalah..Hybrid-hybrid yang tak ada ID tu nampaknya OC kena cari kemudian la..

Have to repot most of these..Guess I have to find the name of the hybrid with noID later on..

         Dendrobiums were among the most varied orchids family known, lots of variety and forms as a species and not to mention their hybrids. They offers a vast array in terms of growing condition, flower forms and plants that are available in every sizes..To me the warm to hot growing ones are easiest to grow cause I live in tropical climate, they are doing quite well with me..

        Earlier this year I've bought  quite a number of dendrobium hybrids, those that looked good in my eyes..I've got no time to make a post about it earlier, so here they are..I'll find their name later..

        Antara spesis orkid yang paling banyak variasi ialah dendrobium. Ada macam-macam, kadang-kadang tak nampak macam dendrobium pun..kalau hibrid lagi macam-macam la.Selain tu juga spesis ni terdapat pelbagai saiz, bentuk bunga, ada yang perlukan cuaca sederhana dan ada yang mahukan cuaca panas..Selalunya bagi yang mula-mula nak tanam orkid ni la yang mula ditanam.

        Awal tahun ni saya ada la borong beberapa pokok yang berkenan..yang nampak special di mata..Tak sempat nak buat pos pasal ni hari tu.. sibuk buat pos lain dulu..apapun nilah Dendrobium yang telah dibeli..Nama cari kemudianlah..

          Most of the plants are not looking good yet..Definitely there's a potential there, just needs more love and care :) ..they'll be at their best in no time..! hopefully..

          Semua pokok-pokok ni tak nampak cantiknya lagi..Potensi tu memang ada, cuma yang diperlukan ialah sedikit lagi kasih sayang dan penjagaan yang rapi :) lepas tu baru boleh masuk 'gelanggang'..Harap-harap..

           During the last Parit Buntar Agrofest, there was also a plant sales, including orchids.. Again, as usual, I cannot contain myself..lol..

          Semasa Agrofest di Parit Buntar tempoh hari, ada juga jualan pokok, sudah tentu orkid pun mesti ada..Macam biasalah kalau bab orkid ni, saya mana boleh kawal diri..he..he..

New in collection..

These are  new orchids in my collection..

Ini adalah koleksi terkini orkid di rumah..

 Arundina graminifolia

It is said that this is a new species from Laos..but still not confirmed yet..

At the moment lets just stick to A. graminifolia. 

Flowers are smaller but very brightly coloured..quite a compact grower..

Arundina dari Laos, pokok dan daun agak pendek dan keras..

Penjualnya kata mungkin spesis baru, tapi kena tunggu pengesahan dulu..

buat masa sekarang masih dikira variant A. graminifolia.

 Dendrobium Snow Cream

Old dendrobium hybrid. This ia a good hybrid with fleshy texture, 

round flower, big lip and has a nice arrangement..

Dendrobium hybrid ni pada saya memang cantik, 

susah jugak nak dapat ni..sebab dah tak ada lagi dijual sekarang..

tapi akhirnya dapat la juga.. :)

 Dendrobium Burana Pearl 'Giant'

This is a very large flower for a dendrobium hence the name..

I'm quite surprise when I first saw it..

Nice fresh colours too..

Dendrobium ni memang besar, 

kena tengok live baru boleh nampak..

bagus untuk masuk show..Warnanya pun cantik..

Kirchara Tropical Jewel x Brassavola cordata

I really like the lips, it contrasts well with the pale coloured petal and sepal.

Pada mata saya bunga ni cantik pada 'lip' dia tu, 

kira kalau dah jadi spesimen memang cantik lah..

tapi nak menunggu jadi spesimen tu la..sabar..

A Spathoglottis hybrid. 

This one has a big flower in a nice round clump..

The spike is short too.. means that it is a good quality plants..

Spathoglottis ni cantik sangat sebab 'clump' dan bunga dia besar, 

kontras warna dia pun cantik..lagi best tangkai bunga pendek..

susah nak cari spathoglottis yang bunga besar tangkai pendek..

kalau jumpa.. jangan tunggu !

Spathoglottis lobii

What I love about this species is the bright canary yellow flowers and 

this particular plants has a prominent stripes on the lower sepals which I like.

Ada yang kata jenis spathoglottis ni berbunga di tanah tinggi saja, 

tapi yang ni berbunga di nurseri di tanah rendah ni..bila rujuk internet memang ada juga dari tanah rendah (harap-harap pokok ni macam tu lah..) jadi saya pun  try juga lah walaupun bunganya kecil dan tak 'semeriah' hybrid, tapi bagi saya tetap special..
