Wonderful Orchid Origami..

***Before we begin I certainly would like to thank hykall hyrie for being my 5th blog followers.
You're very much welcome..Thank you.***

..and now for a new post today..

Being involved in art myself, I cant help but noticed that orchid has become one of the 'artist subjects'. there are textile motifs, prints, drawings, paintings, jeweleries and many more. Why? maybe its because of the flower itself..the way their appeal to the mass..Doesn't matter whether you like orchids or not..nobody would say that they are ugly..even the unusual ones, its more of a cross between weird and unique..except for the smell (bulbophyllum especially, but not all) this one yes..some really does have a nasty smell..

Origami is one of the old crafts, meaning the art of Japanese paper folding. Im'sure everybody knows origami. which started in the 17th century AD and  at the latest and was popularized outside Japan in the mid-1900s. It has since then evolved into a modern art form. The goal of this art is to transform a flat sheet of material into a finished sculpture through folding and sculpting techniques, and as such the use of cuts or glue are not considered to be origami. You can create so many shapes and forms imaginable, the most popular are animals, flowers, everyday objects and even human forms and facial expressions!

Flowers among the most popular. Creativity is endless..creating flowers with origami brings a new dimension in visuals by creating an art form based on the real ones..Orchid was no exception..Some of the famous Origami artists have created many forms of orchid flowers complete with the whole plants itself..! You get to see the other view of orchid plants and fowers like you've never seen before..

  1. The video is for a completely different design from the plans. And the plans dont show how to get from step 1 to step two. So, they are fucking useless. I hate it when bloggers post shit without testing it first. Fucking dumbass

  2. Dan, the diagrams *do* show how to get from step 1 to step 2. There are many books that show how to read origami diagrams and the symbols used in them. This model is not on a simple level, more like high intermediate. It would come out best if either made from tissue foil or wet-folded. Yes, the video is to a different model. If you are interested in how to fold the model displayed in the diagram, search for "Munich Orchid" by Michael LaFosse. You seem rather upset by the above post; I'd recommend you don't stress yourself out any more by attempting this model.
